Recently i have read "Fear" from Stefan Zeig. 
It described the emotional movement of a women who had blackmailed after she had an affair. Pretty much balancing herself with the Price she had paid for advanture, Price she had paid for the little more time that not being revealed by blackmailer. And the great fear she found out was of losing or disapointing loved ones rather than fear of self hiding the truth..very well discribed its reaction of a mind nature when a fear comes to it.
It showed an amazing reality that what she tired to think was what her mind trying to defend the fear and how easily it falls with negative thoughts and eventually collaps.
The book was known as Author's most powerful studies of a woman's mind and emotions in 1920th. It was well presented with the story that how woman desire adventure of mind activity: for instant, seduction, sex, excitement, even falling etc, more like dramatic life they are...
